Baking is my hobby, not a job.
I do it because I enjoy it and it relieves stress for me.
I figure the minute I turn it into a profession it becomes a stressor and not an outlet to pour my stress into.
I do bake for people on occasion. Those are people who understand what goes into a cake. The time, effort and love. And those are the people who really appreciate what I bake for them. It makes it special for me.
Last week I made a cake. I was thinking what a shame to cut into it. That is a feeling I like.
This was a 6 inch chocolate 4 layer cake. Decorated with pink vanilla buttercream topped with meringues and chocolate ganache and lots of sprinkles.
